"Spinnaker" wins at Auburn

Spinnaker won Best of Festival Award at Auburn Adventure Film Festival in Auburn, WA. Jeff Ertz edited and composed the score.

The short tells the story of the film’s namesake whale and the tragic life that she lived due to the threat of entanglement and pollution in our oceans. The Center for Coastal Studies tracked her from birth to death, as well as across three entanglement events. The film brings her harrowing story to the forefront by highlighting the work of a team of dedicated researchers and rescuers at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, MA.
